About Chef Peter Hesse

My Take-Away Gourmet, personal chef service was founded in 2006 by chef Peter Hesse. My Take-Away Gourmet, personal chef service works in the homes of some of the finest residences in the Naples and Bonita Springs areas of Southwest Florida.  We are licensed, insured and certified so that our clients can enjoy our service with the peace of mind they deserve.

Peter is a graduate with honors of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, located in Hyde Park, New York.  He has over twenty years experience as an Executive Chef of fine dining restaurants and country clubs.  During his career, Chef Peter has won numerous honors and awards.  He is a two time Naples and Marco Island chef of the Year, awarded by the Naples / Marco Island chapter of the American Culinary Federation.  He has successfully competed in several prestigious culinary competitions, with the culmination being a top fifteen finish in the national semi finals of the Bocuse d’Or USA, cuisine competition.  The Bocuse d’Or pitted his talents against the finest chefs from throughout the nation for an opportunity to compete in the world’s most prestigious chef’s competition.

In addition, Chef Peter has contributed to magazines and cookbooks and has won several recipe contests including Riches Fat Free Dessert round up, the National Oreo Cookie competition and the National Pork Council Nuevo Latino recipe competition.
